How a Sunny Afternoon with My Baby Inspired My First Children’s Book
In 2022, the spark to write children’s books ignited when I became a father. One memorable afternoon, my 6-month-old son and I were outside, exploring the world together. As I taught him about his senses—pointing to my nose and asking him to point to his—a simple, interactive moment turned into the inspiration for my very first book, “Show Me Nosy!” The joy in his eyes and the bond we shared that day motivated me to create more books to inspire learning and connection for children everywhere.

Another unforgettable moment that shaped my journey as a children’s author happened during a quiet afternoon at home. My son and I were flipping through family photos, a simple activity that quickly turned into something extraordinary. As we looked at pictures of my childhood and family gatherings, I pointed to a photo of myself standing next to my brother and asked my son, “Can you find Dada in this picture?”
His little eyes lit up with excitement as he scanned the photo and confidently pointed to me. Encouraged by his curiosity, I turned the page and showed him a picture of his mother with her sister. “Now, where’s Mama?” I asked, and he giggled as he took a moment to figure it out before pointing to the correct person.
That playful, heartwarming interaction sparked an idea. What if I could create a book that encouraged moments like this—moments of bonding, learning, and discovery between parents and their children? That’s how my second book, “Show Me Dada!”, was born.
